“I’ve done it on sim before” Five years ago, I met Tallon at Ridge Motorsports Park through the Camp Goodtimes Project. He was just 13 years old, facing health challenges of his own, and his family had already endured the unimaginable loss of his brother to cancer.

I’ve had the privilege of seeing Tallon nearly every year since. Today, he’s 18 — healthy, happy, and somehow even more obsessed with cars than he was at 13.

This year, Ranger Road Motors wanted to give something back to Camp Goodtimes. We brought out our race car and Trey, our driver from Mississippi, who is a paraplegic race car driver and living proof that challenges don’t have to define what’s possible.

And we decided it was time to make one of Tallon’s dreams come true.

Today, at 18 years old, Tallon climbed into our race car, took the wheel, and drove it on track.

Five years ago, I met a 13-year-old kid going through more than most of us could imagine.

Today, I watched that kid become a race car driver.

Ranger Road’s Fourth Annual Lake Tahoe Fundraiser would not have been possible without the incredible businesses, organizations, community partners, volunteers, and individuals who stepped up to support our mission.
