Bottles (and cans) for Bevin Team "Run Bubbas Run" In November 2010 my daughter, Bevin, was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA), she wasn’t even 2 years old.

The JRA is currently affecting both of her hips, both of her knees and her left ankle. Because of the joints the JRA is affecting she walks with a limp. She is on a daily medication as well as a weekly injection. Because of Bevin’s diagnosis we have gotten involved with our local Arthritis Foundation and have formed a team for the Arthritis Walk. Our team, Run Bubbas Run, has started a recycling fundraiser to help raise money for the Arthritis Foundation to help find a cure for Arthritis.

This picture is way louder than anything I can say about juvenile arthritis. I give my child one to two shots weekly to control her juvenile arthritis among lots of other pills as needed. I have friends who have to give their children up to 6 shots a day to control their juvenile diabetes! This shouldn't be any child's life. We need better for them. We need a cure!

After being in non-medicated remission since April of 2015 both of Bevin's knees are swollen and her JA is back so she went back on her weekly methotrexate injections (as of her rheumatology appt on 6/27).

She went to her ophthalmology appt today and for the first time since her JA diagnosis 6 years ago she has uveitis. So we get to add two eye drops to the mix.

JA came back with a vengeance.
