On April 6th, Jamie and David fulfilled their promise to Frosted Face Wilma.

They shared,
"We lost our sweet Wilma to her battle with cancer. I remember the day I took her home. I was at FFF inquiring about another dog; and was led to Wilma, who had scars all over her body. I immediately picked her up, and she was the first dog ever to give me kisses. I was immediately hooked. Wilma faced so many struggles in her short life. She was one of the more independent dogs we have had. We gave her everything we could so she could have the best end of life possible. We miss her so much."

Family: Jamie Gaskin & David Flores
Fan: Kate Hand
Facts: Wilma was 13 years old, and was rescued from East Valley Shelter-LA on January 7th, 2025.

Odette was one of many dogs left without a home and brought to Bonita Shelter after their owner passed away. Thankfully, we were able to welcome six of them into the Frosted Faces family - including this tiny 7-pound sweetheart. At around 13 years old, Odette is the definition of a love bug. She is very gentle, adores affection, and is ready to spend her golden years surrounded by the love and comfort she deserves. Might it be with you?

Odette has been on several two-week Frosted Fling, and we have learned so much great information about her and what she is like in a home. Her current foster family shares:
"We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming sweet little Odette into our home for a two-week stay, and she is staying as a foster! Odette is an incredibly smart, cuddly little girl. Although she is blind and has some hearing loss, she quickly learned her surroundings and adapted beautifully to our home. She never let her disabilities slow her down.

With our three kids (ages 9, 5, and 2), she received endless love, attention, and snuggles, and she soaked up every minute of it! Odette is the perfect lap dog and is happiest when she's curled up right next to her people. She became part of our family and happily joined us everywhere we went, including the movie theater, pool days, soccer practices, shopping trips, and pet-friendly restaurants.

Odette does very well with a consistent potty routine. As long as she's taken outside regularly, she'll potty right away. When she's ready to come back inside, she'll let you know with an adorable little hop and bark.

Odette would thrive with a family who wants a constant companion, someone who will include her in everyday life, take her on adventures, and shower her with the love she deserves. She has so much love to give and will make an incredibly loyal, affectionate addition to the right home."

Coconut joined us from the San Diego Humane Society on June 29th, and he's looking for loving home to enjoy his golden years. At 13 years old and 15 pounds, this cutie pie proves that age is just a number!

His foster family shares:

"Coconut has gone from a scared, unsure little guy who slept nearly 20 hours a day to a pup who seeks out a soft, cool place to lay where his people are, occasionally following us around the apartment. One could say this Coconut has come out of his shell! He has even started eagerly attempting to jump onto the chair for cuddles. As if being this cute wasn't enough, Coconut also insists on locking in a hug when you pick him up! He's also been the perfect houseguest: not a single bathroom accident in our apartment!

Coconut lights up for every walk. He enjoys stopping for the occasional sniff, but he's mostly focused on meeting his cardio goals. His pace is exactly what you'd expect from a distinguished senior: steady, determined, and… pleasantly leisurely. He's been all tail wags and excitement when meeting other dogs, but if they aren't interested in saying hello, he's perfectly happy to keep on strolling.

Coconut attended a dog birthday party over the weekend where he met about 15 dogs, all sizes and breeds and was friendly with all. He preferred to play with the smaller pups and just sniff the larger ones. When other dogs were snippy with each other, he stood to the side and judged them. He even met a tortoise (who he was completely indifferent to!)

What Coconut is really looking for is simple: kind people who appreciate the quiet joy of sharing life with a sweet old dog. He's the kind of companion who will fill your home with gentle smiles, quiet affection, and the comforting presence that only a senior dog can provide. If you're looking for a best friend who asks for little but gives a whole lot of love, Coconut is waiting to meet you!"

On August 2nd, Erica fulfilled her promise to Frosted Face Pedro.

She shared,
"It is with such a heavy heart I have to share that our sweet foster, Pedro, crossed the 🌈 bridge on Sunday. It was very sudden and unexpected. He appeared to have suffered a stroke, and after consulting with Bethany and Kelly, we took him to Frosted Faces and then the E.R. It was just too much for his little body to handle, and we had to let him go.

He was such a sweet old man -- a gentleman. I wish we had more time with hi because he was so incredible.

Rest in peace Señor Pedro (AKA Captain Holt). We love you!"

Family: Erica Duran
Facts: Pedro was 15 years old, and was surrendered to FFF on May 18th, 2026.

TinTin arrived at the San Diego Humane Society as a stray. Although it was clear he had once been a someone's loved pet, no one came to reclaim him. At approximately 12 years old and weighing just 12 pounds, TinTin is a sweet, friendly boy who loves people, gets along great with other dogs, and is ready to find the loving home he deserves for his golden years. Might it be with you?

TinTin has been on an extended Frosted Fling enjoying lots of love and attention while we have learned more about him in a home setting. His foster mom shares:

"TinTin recovered from his dental surgery with flying colors and is waiting for his new home! He is a quiet, friendly, sweet boy who gets along well with other dogs and adores his humans. He likes to sample the dog beds during the day and rest by my husband's feet while he works on the computer. He is an easy, welcome boy in the house. Check out that adorable floppy ear!

TinTin is house-trained and goes to the door when he needs to do his business. Since recovering from his dental work, he has a very hearty appetite. He is quiet in the bath and has no problem with stairs. He enjoys his walks but if startled by other dogs, he may bark, which is surprising since he is so quiet at home.

When we first picked TinTin up for his extended Fling, he was very thin. His teeth were clearly bothering him and he didn't eat much. The change since he recovered from dental surgery at Frosted Faces' vet clinic is truly miraculous! He eats heartily, his coat is coming back, and on his walks, he prances with tail up and wagging. He still could put on some weight, but I no longer think that's an issue with his new found appetite!"

TinTin is ready to meet his forever family. Could it be you?

On July 27th, Laura and Andrew fulfilled their promise to Frosted Face Beret.

They shared,

"We let Beret go on Monday. My heart is truly broken. She was so tiny but was larger than life in my eyes. Beret arrived beginning of last summer. She was such a rock for me when I lost Shamps last summer and Mr B in the fall. We added Rey to the pack and they became my dynamic duo. I can’t really put a finger on when I began to loose her to CCD. When did the circles start, when did she begin to get stuck in corners and under furniture but I do remember the first time she did not recognize me. But she always loved the beach. Last time we went it was perfect because the water was so warm. She stood in the tiny waves as her legs and belly got wet and for a short time, all was right in the world.

I miss her snores. I miss the shuffle of her feet on the floor. Mostly I miss how peaceful we were while I held her in my arms. She loved to be held for hours. And I was so happy to oblige.

Beret used to give kisses all over my face. I loved it. She forgot how to do that quite some time ago. But a couple of weeks ago, she gave 2 quick kisses on my cheek and I knew those would be the last.

My girl was well traveled going on trips everywhere with me. She came to breweries, wineries but honestly in the end, she just preferred to be home. I cleared everything for the weekend so I could spend all my time just holding her while she slept. She passed peacefully in my arms with Andy, Alexis and Rey nearby.

Thank you FF for trusting me with this special girl. It breaks my heart that she was ever a forget me not because she is so unforgettable. She was meant to be my girl. I know she is now with Shamps and Mr B. She is able to see, she is free. I will never forget my special girl."

At 14 years old, Coffee Jane’s world was turned upside down when she was surrendered to Downey Shelter by the family she knew.

With time, consistency, and plenty of understanding, Coffee Jane has made incredible progress. Here’s a recent update from her foster family that shows just how far this sweet senior has come:

"Coffee Jane is a special girl who has come such a long way. She wants to be loved and to love in return, and as she has learned to trust me, I’ve learned that she can be very loving and will happily give me lots of kisses. She has also made wonderful progress with everyday handling. She now allows me to put a slip lead over her head to go outside and is pretty comfortable with it—a big win! She has relaxed enough that I can briefly pick her up when needed, such as getting her into the car or bathtub.

That said, Coffee Jane still has important boundaries, and respecting those boundaries is key to helping her feel safe and continue to build confidence. I’ve learned to read her signals and understand when she is comfortable and when she needs space. Physical handling can still be a trigger for her, so I don’t push her beyond what she is ready for.

The entire time that I’ve had Coffee Jane, she has been great with my little dog. I even have a cat that she is very sweet with. Coffee Jane loves car rides and just lays down and sleeps the entire way.

Coffee Jane is definitely a floor potato. She will sometimes get on the couch, but she really likes the floor or a cozy little bed of her own. She’s quite independent. She is not a shadow, but she does like to be nearby when I’m home. When I'm away from home, she is quiet and just sleeps.

Coffee Jane needs a very special family - one willing to give her the love, time, patience, and understanding she deserves. With those things, I truly believe Jane will blossom into the loving companion she wants to be."

If you have a spot in your heart for Coffee Jane and are able to give her the patience and structure she needs, please email: [email protected]

We love seeing Frosted Faces walk out our doors for the very last time. Not because we won't miss them (although we absolutely will!), but because we know they're headed home.

These sweet seniors were recently adopted and are officially someone's beloved companion. Thank you to every person who helped care for them, every foster who opened their home, every volunteer who gave them love, and every adopter who said, "You're the one."

Congratulations, Dean, Winky, Nexus, Mac, Leo, Harley & Hannah, McClure, Mida, and Coolie!

Your happily ever after starts now. ❤️
