Today we met with students interested in joining our Police Cadet Program and had a great turnout! We discussed the expectations and all the benefits of being a cadet.

👉 Great for Older Students: This program is excellent for building resumes and earning community-service experience that looks great for college or other schools.

👉 Program Details:
• Start Date: October 7
• Schedule: Every Tuesday after school (with the option to add more days based on interest and attendance)
• Cost: $25 per month – covers uniforms, training equipment, educational materials, and after-school snacks
• Financial Help: If a student can’t afford the membership fee, support is available.

Applications were sent home with students today. We’re excited to start training and can’t wait to see this program grow!

PARENTS!!!

Starting Wednesday, October 2, the Caney Valley Police Cadet Program will meet every Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Caney Valley Middle/High School.
If there is strong interest, additional training days may be added.

This makes for a great after-school program and provides a safe, structured place for students to learn and grow after the school day ends.

Cadets will receive classroom instruction and take part in hands-on activities, including mock police scenarios, team-building challenges, and leadership exercises.

Uniforms & Training
Students are required to wear their cadet uniform on training days (not during school hours). A $25 monthly membership fee covers uniforms and all training equipment—items that belong to each cadet.

Who Can Join

Open to all students in grades 5–12 (not limited to CV students).

Elementary students (5th grade or younger) – contact Officer Rick Doyle for an application and waiver.

Middle/High School students – contact Officer Michael Coates for enrollment information.

This is a great opportunity for students interested in law enforcement or anyone wanting to build leadership and teamwork skills in a fun, structured program.
