Shaka, a retired racehorse, hasn't had the best of luck over the past few years. He has somewhat "lost his marbles" possibly due to developing cataracts and/or a neurological disorder and has suffered through a major self inflicted injury.

When he met hayley, another racetrack rescue, things began to change for Shaka. He is now enjoying a light rehabilitation program and passing with flying colors. We are very proud of the progress he is making at the ranch.

Buddy is a 10 year old mustang who was captured and taken away from his wild herd in the middle of the Nevada desert. After being branded on his neck he was placed into solidtary confinement for several years. Even though he was well cared for by lovely people he lacked the companionship of other horses. We are happy to say he is now with horse friends doing horse stuff at Cinnamon Rock Rescue.

Buddy is a smart and fast learner who enjoys working with a trainer. He is eager to please and wants to do a good job. Especially if cookies are involved. 😄
