The Ralston Economic Development Corporation and City of Ralston would like to congratulate Mr. Richard Shively for being named Ralston’s Veteran of the Year!

Mr. Shively proudly served in the US Air Force for 20 years (1972-1992). Following his Ralston High School graduation, he volunteered for the service and retired at the rank of Master Sergeant (MSgt, E-7).

During his USAF career, Shively served in the Security Squadron where he helped protect air bases, nuclear assets, and personnel around the world.

In recognition of his dedicated service, he received numerous military honors including the Meritorious Service Medal.

After retiring from the military, Shively returned to his hometown of Ralston, where he has remained deeply committed to serving his community.

More information about Mr. Shively's service will be included in the June 22 Ralston Rambler, published later this evening: https://mailchi.mp/cityofralston/ralston-rambler-city-newsletter-june22
