Biscuit is a gentle, sweet boy who is quickly discovering how wonderful life outside the shelter can be. He may be a little skittish at first, but he warms up quickly, and once he trusts you, he is happy to soak up all the love you have to give. Give him a lap, and he will happily stay there as long as you’ll let him.

Biscuit absolutely loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have canine companionship in his new home. He also did wonderfully with children at the adoptathon, happily accepting all the attention and affection they wanted to give him.

He is an easygoing guy in so many ways. Biscuit was a perfect gentleman during his first bath, allowing his foster to scrub away all that shelter dirt without a fuss. He rides beautifully in the car, too. Even on a 45-minute drive, he settled in the backseat like a good boy. At home, he has not tried to mark a single thing, and he is already a big fan of the couch and treats.

Biscuit is heartworm positive, but that does not stop him from enjoying life. His treatment simply means medication with breakfast and dinner, along with being mindful that he does not overdo it in the heat or with strenuous activity while he recovers.

If you are looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who loves dogs, enjoys a good couch cuddle, and is ready to blossom with a little patience and love, Biscuit could be your guy.

Meet Gracie!

With her beautiful light-colored coat, many people assume Gracie is a senior. Not so fast! At approximately 4 years old, this sweet girl still has plenty of s***k, energy, and playfulness.

Gracie is incredibly friendly and loves spending time with her people. One of her favorite pastimes is carrying plush toys around the house, proudly showing off her treasures. She is also a big fan of mealtime and treats, which may explain her slightly fuller figure!

Gracie is doing great with house training and sleeps soundly in a dog bed on the floor each night. She loves to walk a leash, though like any true beagle, an interesting scent can occasionally distract her from the task at hand.

Gracie recently underwent TPLO surgery and is recovering beautifully. She is a happy, affectionate girl who is ready to bring love, laughter, and plenty of beagle charm to her forever home.

Harvey came to the rescue from the North Hampton Animal Shelter. He s a happy-go-lucky beagle with a sweet personality and a serious love for playing ball! Tennis balls, stuffed balls, squeaky balls, Harvey isn't picky. If you're willing to toss it, he's ready to chase it. He would love a family that will make a little time each day for a good game of fetch.

When playtime is over, Harvey is all about the belly rubs. In fact, the moment his harness comes out, he flops onto his back and requests a proper belly-rub session before heading out for a walk. He's still working on his leash skills and learning that walks don't require quite so much zigzagging, but he's making great progress.

Harvey is house-trained and has excellent manners around the house. He gets along wonderfully with the four dogs in his foster home, who range from small to large and have a variety of personalities. Harvey tends to be submissive, avoids drama, and would especially enjoy having a playful canine companion in his forever home.

Like a true beagle, Harvey takes food very seriously. If something edible is within reach, he's happy to volunteer to take care of it, so his future family will want to keep an eye on unattended snacks and meals.

Harvey is a sweet, friendly boy with a goofy side and lots of love to give. If you're looking for a companion who enjoys playing ball, hanging out with canine friends, going for walks, and soaking up plenty of belly rubs, Harvey might be the perfect addition to your family. Rowdy is a young, fun loving hound mix who is ready to find a family of his own. At around three ish years old, he still has plenty of youthful energy and enthusiasm for life. After being found as a stray, Rowdy ended up at the Harnett County Shelter, where he waited for a second chance. Now he's hoping his forever family is just around the corner.

Rowdy gets along with other dogs but can be a little choosy about his friends, so he'll do best with thoughtful introductions and the right canine companion. He is not a good match for a home with cats.

If you're looking for a quiet, dainty dog, Rowdy isn't your guy. He's a classic hound with a booming bay, a nose that never quits, and a personality that's larger than life. He loves exploring the yard and following every scent. In fact, he can be lounging outside and somehow knows the moment someone opens the refrigerator inside the house!

Rowdy is house trained and sleeps comfortably in his crate each night, although he may spend a few minutes "airing his grievances" before settling in.

Strong, athletic, and blissfully unaware of his own size, Rowdy is a bit of a bull in a china shop. He'll need a securely fenced yard with a 6 foot fence since he can jump lower ones. Despite his strength and enthusiasm, he's as sweet as they come and never has any bad intentions.

When the adventures are over, Rowdy is all about snuggling. He loves curling up on the couch with his people and soaking up all the affection he can get.
