The PCRF Greater Raleigh Chapter warmly invites you to our Ramadan Iftar on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025. Join us for a meaningful dinner to support children in need and help further the Palestine Children's Relief Fund's life-saving efforts. All faiths are welcome.

The evening will feature a presentation from PCRF Regional Medical Missions Manager and Gaza native, Suhail Flaifl, who has been with PCRF for over 27 years. Suhail oversees the coordination of all medical teams that PCRF sends to Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon. He will share his personal experiences of life in Gaza before and after the war, along with firsthand accounts of PCRF's impactful work on the ground.

As part of PCRF’s commitment to providing specialized surgical care, a highly skilled German medical team led by Dr. Walid Ayad is providing much-needed maxillofacial and plastic surgery at Rafidia Hospital in Nablus.

With the support of volunteer doctors and nurses worldwide, PCRF continues to deliver life-changing care to children in Palestine and the Middle East.

Restoring Hearing to Children In Gaza:

Our PCRF team successfully implemented the third phase of the OTS (One-Time-Sponsorship) Medical Emergency Program, delivering hearing aids to 37 children in central Gaza. These beneficiaries include children who lost their hearing aids in the rubble of their homes or due to displacement and have been unable to hear for months. At PCRF, we strive to restore a part of their lost smiles, bringing comfort and joy to these children who have been affected by war. Thank you for your continued support. Launch of "Beyond Survival" Mental Health Project in Gaza

In collaboration with the Organisation for the Prevention of Intense Suffering - OPIS, our PCRF mental health team has launched "Beyond Survival: Fostering Resilience and Mental Wellness." This project aims to strengthen mental health resilience among children and families in conflict zones.

We are dedicated to developing, publishing, and distributing materials that equip families with effective tools to manage stress and trauma. Our goal is to quickly address critical mental health needs, fostering a sense of belonging, self-efficacy, and social-emotional support across families, educational institutions, and the broader community.

Thanks to the incredible support from our donors worldwide, PCRF has reached a critical milestone in Rafah, Southern Gaza. As part of our Urgent Gaza Relief and Recovery projects, we are proud to announce the opening and partial completion of a field hospital equipped with 100 beds, an outpatient clinic, a pediatric clinic, a laboratory, and an x-ray room. This facility also features a desalination plant to ensure a steady supply of clean water.

In collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), the hospital will receive support with medical equipment, significantly enhancing our ability to save lives. The hospital will soon expand to include OB/GYN and other vital medical specialties, providing comprehensive care to those in desperate need.

Our PCRF team in the West Bank recently met with the National Director of SOS Children's Villages - Palestine. They expressed heartfelt gratitude for our support in aiding the orphaned children who were evacuated from Gaza to Bethlehem seeking safety.

Our team distributed clothes to these children as part of our ongoing project to assist the SOS orphans sheltering in Bethlehem.

We’ll continue to update you on our efforts to provide support and safety for these children.
