Over the years, we have met a lot of amazing individuals. Some are homeless, some are the working poor, and others had life hit them hard. The most powerful experience has been seeing how good people truly are. So many of you have contributed in your own way, and continue to do so. We have learned how much people want to help, and how many of you are more interested in helping than finding the "de
serving". That is amazing, and shows us that together - we can make a difference. Miracle Jump Start isn't in the business of saving others; that would be stealing greatest gift a life challenge can offer. Tapping into the Power within to persevere through this current challenge, and watching what that Power can do to get to your miracle will carry each person through future challenges. We believe in the strength within those that are currently "climbing their mountain". We walk with people through their storm, and provide resources along the way to help lighten the load and bring a little light into the darkness. Our focus is walking with families that are living in motels, or just getting into a home. We collect resources, and raise money to cover the initial cost of moving. Through years of watching these families try to get a home, and getting to really know them and their stories - we realized that it is not as simple as we would like to think. Even for a rundown motel room, with no kitchen - the cost is over $1200 per month. These families work, or truly disabled and can afford to live in a home, but cannot get ahead to fund the move. We aim for helping them meet THEIR goals, and provide food, clothing, and enjoy the relationships along the journey. We help cover deposits, and provide household items to help make a house a home, and let them take it from there. It's amazing to see how much they value the opportunity and the results confirm our vision. These families continue to pay rent, and stay on top of their bills. They take care of their homes, and now help other people that are homeless. Miracle Jump Start does not have funding for covering motel rooms, but can provide resources to help you with temporary housing. Those that are willing to fight the good fight, get to experience the miracles. Nobody said it would be easy, but it will be worth it. We are always looking for the following items:
