The Caswell-Nash Chapter located in Raleigh is one of the largest DAR chapters in North Carolina. We currently have over 200 members ranging from working mothers with young babies to retired women who have given decades of service to the community. We are a very active chapter focused on the areas of historic preservation, education and patriotism in our community, as well as lending support for s

tate and national DAR projects. We are a proud sponsor of Wreaths Across America at Raleigh's Oakwood Cemetery. We stay in touch with all of our members through social media sites on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, bi-monthly newsletters, email and our popular bi-weekly flyer The Buzz. In addition to our monthly meetings, we have frequent events and gatherings for members such as our popular Genie Club and chapter Book Club. Our evening Daughter Chats on various topics from how to create the perfect charcuterie board to learning about DAR, historical topics and more have helped keep our members connected during the COVID pandemic. Our meetings are held the second Friday of each month from September through May. The meetings begin at 11:30 a.m., during which we conduct business, listen to great programs, and catch up with friends. We are a local chapter of the The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

Last night’s premiere of Ken Burns’ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 shared the stories of the American people—both the ordinary and the extraordinary—whose lives shaped our nation. Our ancestors each played a unique and vital part in the American story. 📜🪶

Who is part of your story? Was it John Greenwood, the fifer from Boston? Or Crispus Attucks, the dockworker whose death in the Boston Massacre ignited a movement? Or perhaps Hannah Davis, who buried her husband Isaac in the earliest days of the war and carried on with courage.

As Daughters of the American Revolution, we honor their legacy by preserving it, sharing it, and ensuring it continues to inspire future generations. Find your story with us here: https://www.dar.org/discover-your-family-story

And don’t miss episode two—there’s so much more of America’s story yet to unfold! 🇺🇸
