Today we spotted two bunnies hopping around the New Hope Collaborative campus, enjoying the sunshine and exploring the green spaces. Moments like this remind us that this land isn’t just a place for people to gather, it’s also part of a larger ecosystem that supports all of God’s creation.

At NHC, creation care matters to us. From maintaining green space to building community gardens and being mindful stewards of the land, we believe caring for creation is part of our calling to care for one another.

So today we celebrate our two new furry “visitors” and the reminder they bring, when we nurture the land, life flourishes.

Have you spotted wildlife around campus lately? We’d love to hear about it!

It has been a busy and meaningful week at New Hope Collaborative!

For the first time, NHC served as a polling site, and we were honored to open our doors to the community. Throughout the day, 706 people came through our campus to make their voices heard through their vote. It was powerful to see neighbors, both longtime residents and new community members, gather in this shared space of civic participation.

Many visitors also paused to share fond memories of Wilder’s Grove, reflecting on the deep history and impact this space has had on so many lives. Those stories remind us why preserving and reimagining this campus for community use matters so much.

And the week didn’t stop there! Our Executive Director, Lesley Peace, traveled to Charlotte to participate in the Episcopal Parish Network gathering, spending time learning, sharing ideas, and fellowshipping with friends and leaders from across the country and around the globe.
Weeks like this remind us what collaboration looks like, community, history, civic engagement, and connection all in one place.

Thank you to everyone who continues to make the work of New Hope Collaborative possible. The momentum is real!

February was FULL at the New Hope Collaborative and our hearts are grateful.

This past month reminded us that collaboration, formation, and community truly matter.

We gathered with our NHC Campus Partners, strengthening relationships, aligning vision, and continuing to build a shared and sacred space for impact.

We deepened our understanding of care and crisis response through the Youth Mental Health First Aid Program, equipping leaders to better support young people in our community.

We packed lunches and prepared ashes for our 3rd Annual Ashes To Go & Lunch Day, sharing nourishment for both body and spirit with our neighbors.

We listened, learned, and leaned in during the powerful “Racializing Black Women: Equity, Exceptionalism, and Sustaining Resistance” panel, centering the voices, brilliance, and leadership of Black women.

We sharpened our skills at the Oasis Training & Consulting Grant Writing Workshop led by Bettie Murchison, strengthening our capacity to fund the work that fuels transformation.

From formation to fellowship. From justice to joy. From skill-building to sacred moments.

February was a month of impact, and we are just getting started.

Thank you to every partner, volunteer, leader, and neighbor who showed up. The work we are building together matters.
