RISING MILLBROOK HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Curriculum Night - February 8th
Looking ahead, we’ve got our annual Curriculum Night scheduled for Thursday, February 8th, from 6-7:30pm. This is a night for not only our current students, BUT our rising 9th graders as well. Please help us spread the word to those families that this evening event is a MUST. All the different programs we have to offer are setup at “booths” so that students can learn what they have to offer for 2024-2025. Curriculum Night always precedes course registration season. Spread the word and mark your calendar!

We have a lot of financial needs for the school year and very little surplus from PTA funds. We are kicking off a No-Fuss Fundraiser, starting now to raise funds for Durant Road Middle School PTA. These funds will be forwarded right back into the school for things not covered by the general budget. For example, teachers are already working on another Reality of Money day and are looking to also expand to do an Engineer’s Day. These are things along with student hospitality, agendas, teacher appreciation events and other subsidies that we can’t do without funding.

This no-fuss fundraiser is a way for us to retain the donated funds as most incentive fundraisers take a large “fee” and that redirects funds away from the school.

We ask that you donate at the following link. We will also provide the link at our page, Durant Road Middle School PTA where you can access the link and share with family and friends.

Educating our students, families, staff, and the community is critical to bringing diversity, equity, and inclusion to every space.

With this training, we seek to promote an enriching and supportive environment for all students and families at DRMS by recognizing and celebrating our community's diversity.

We have invited Dr. MariaRosa Rangel and Stephanie Mitchell to discuss how we create a more inclusive learning environment that values diversity, builds solidarity, practices empathy, battles racism, and more.

Please RSVP using the link below. We hope to see you there!
