Congratulations to Senior Oral Health Services - a North Carolina based organization - for their approval of CMP funding for their project, SMILECare Initiative (Staff Mobilization & Integrated Long-term Oral Excellence). This project will provide oral health training and education to certified nursing homes in North Carolina over a 3-year period. We look forward to seeing the success of this project and the increased quality of care that it brings to residents in these communities!

NC RFA 2474 is now available on the NCDHSR website and is effective July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027. CMP applicants will need to use the RFA to apply for funding in North Carolina.

Congratulations to Ageless Innovations on the approval of their CMP application for the Furry Friends Project in North Carolina. This project, which will be implemented in 49 certified nursing homes over a one-year period, will provide robotic pets for residents as a practical alternative to pet therapy.

We look forward to partnering with Ageless Innovations to bring this valuable project to NC long-term care communities!

There are two recorded trainings that are available on our website for anyone looking for additional information about the CMPRP. The annual "CMPRP 2025 Update" was a webinar hosted by the NC State Agency on December 17, 2025 and the "CMP New Application Call" was hosted on January 8, 2026 for anyone interested in applying for CMP funding. With the changes to the CMP program, you are encouraged to view these trainings before moving forward with your application.

Hosted annually by the NC State Agency, the CMPRP update is provided to update current CMP project leaders, project applicants, and interested stakeholders about changes or updated guidance to the CMPRP provided by CMS during the annual Global Call to State Agencies.  This is not a recorded version...
