Educational Non Profit Organization (NOP)dedicated to creating patient ed tools related to Sickle Cell Disease using research based best practices for Adult Learners We are a two way bridge between patient & medical community As parents and interested parties connected to SCD we are committed to providing the world with access to ACCURATE, UP-TO-DATE and COMPREHENSIVE educational information. OUr

goal is to help educate EVERYONE about Sickle Cell Disease, not just those affected by it. The more people we educate, the more exposure Sickle Cell Disease will receive. Our hope is that this will equate into more funding for research, education and outreach for the organizations and hospitals that are already trying to break the Sickle Cycle. In addition to our website, our long term goal is to create a Junior Ambassador program targeted at teens and young adults living with SCD (or interested family/friends in this age group) that wish to help break the stigma of SCD in Africa and India through mission trips, in-person speaking events and peer-to-peer training related to self care of SCD.
