New year. New opportunities to serve. 💙💛

Crabtree Rotary proudly launched the 2026–2027 Rotary year by celebrating the installation of President Jeffrey Hobart, CFP® and our new Board of Directors.

We were honored to welcome Rotary District 7710 Governor Patrick Gallagher and his wife, Vicki. Patrick led the swearing-in ceremony, officially kicking off an exciting new year of service, fellowship, and community impact.

One of the highlights of the evening was watching President Jeff Hobart receive Crabtree Rotary’s iconic oversized ceremonial gavel, surrounded by the club’s past presidents—a joyful tradition celebrating the leaders who have helped shape our club and the bright future ahead.

Congratulations to President Jeff Hobart and the entire 2026–2027 leadership team. Here’s to another incredible year of creating lasting change—together!

A great speaker and a gift that keeps on giving. 📚💙

Thank you to Jill Straight from Meals on Wheels of Wake County, NC for joining Crabtree Rotary as our guest speaker.

In keeping with our club tradition, a children’s book will be donated to a local elementary school library in Jill’s honor—sharing the joy of reading while celebrating those who make a difference in our community.

We were especially inspired to learn that Wake Meals on Wheels maintains a zero waitlist for eligible homebound seniors needing meal delivery—a commitment made possible through the generosity of individuals, businesses, and community partners.

Thank you, Jill, for the inspiring work you do every day for Wake County seniors.

More than a donation. More than a delivery route. ❤️

Crabtree Rotarians Larry Meisner and Todd Anderson recently presented a $2,000 donation to Meals on Wheels of Wake County, NC (pictured with Larry and Todd is Danielle Wooten, a rep with MOW's!--thank you Danielle for all that you do with MOWs!)

Our club is proud to support this important organization not only financially, but through weekly meal deliveries to neighbors along the Granite Route.

The simple act of picking up items that other people have discarded is an act of service, stewardship, and community pride—and we thank everyone that showed up to clean up!An equally important act is making the choice not to litter at all and encouraging others to care for the spaces we all share. Small actions create lasting impact — and together, we can keep our creeks, trails, and neighborhoods clean, welcoming, and beautiful for everyone. Easy peasy.. put trash where it belongs. Everyone wins!
