North Carolina House Legislative Partners

North Carolina House Legislative Partners Dedicated to raising awareness and increasing understanding of important issues in North Carolina. North Carolina is rapidly changing.

Republican leaders in the North Carolina House of Representatives understand these changes and have risen to meet the challenges, and seize the opportunities, that come with a rapidly growing population and an increasingly diversified economy. Once limited to newspapers, radio, and local TV, the "Information" Age now succeeds in providing consumers of state news with quantity, but often fails to

give meaningful context and quality, making it difficult to discern between credible and biased information. The North Carolina House Legislative Partners was formed to increase access to current and reliable information on public policy, demystify the often misunderstood legislative decision-making process, and provide key insights into the inner-workings of the North Carolina House of Representatives.

The Senate budget proposal could force banks to flee North Carolina, costing workers their jobs and removing millions of dollars from our economy. If passed, banks would be forced to relocate their trading operations to lower tax states, such as New York. As stated by Rep. Bill Brawley, co-chair of the House Finance Committee, “We would be incenting them, if you will, to occupy Wall Street.”

ObamaCare failed to deliver on it's promise to improve healthcare, increase access, and lower costs. Now, North Carolinians have fewer choices, premiums continue to rise, and bureaucrats are undermining patients and doctors on important medical decisions. Despite the U.S. Supreme Court's misguided decision upholding the act, leaders in the North Carolina House continue working to implement needed reforms to control costs and improve the quality of care.

New state senate tax proposal hits non-profits and charities twice by dramatically lowering the cap on deductions and imposing a new cap on individual income tax deductions, reducing the incentive for charitable giving. This plan would adversely affect organizations providing millions of North Carolinians with essential healthcare, public safety, and educational services.
