There is something that happens to a young person when they step in front of a live audience and realize they are not afraid. That kind of confidence does not appear overnight. It is built over time, through every rehearsal and every moment we pour into these students. What you see on that stage was built long before they ever stepped foot on it.

This program is funded in part by the City of Raleigh - Government based on recommendation of Raleigh Arts Commission. Supported by United Arts Wake County and the North Carolina Arts Council , a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.

The arts teach young people how to show up for themselves. But what is just as powerful is what happens after that. When a young person understands their own value, they start to see the value in others too. That is why young people who participate in the arts are twice as likely to give back to their communities. What we build here does not stay here.

From the creativity, the practice, and the confidence we build through the arts, teachers see the results firsthand. Students come into the classroom more focused, more willing to participate, and carrying themselves differently. The arts do not compete with education. They strengthen it.

There are a lot of programs out there that can make your child a better performer. What sets us apart is what happens underneath that. We use the arts to help young people discover their value, find their voice, and build the kind of confidence that goes with them long after the curtain comes down.

This program is funded in part by the City of Raleigh - Government based on recommendation of the Raleigh Arts Commission. Supported by United Arts Wake County and the North Carolina Arts Council , a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.

The same skills that make a great Gifted artist translate directly into the classroom and beyond. What they build here follows them everywhere.

"What I feel is great excitement, joy, pride, and fulfillment."

That is what it looks like when young people get to walk into any room, with friends, family, strangers, people near and far, and be celebrated for exactly who they are. That is the mission. That is what we build every single day.

Last Saturday, our GiftedAcademy students got an unforgettable surprise visit from Cres Stephens! 🔥👏🏾

Now a student at C. Smith University and a professional dancer with the Charlotte Hornets, Cres Stephens came through to lead a high-energy masterclass and pour into the next generation of artists.

From technique to confidence to pure performance energy, our students were inspired every step of the way.

We’re so grateful for our alumni and artists like Cres who continue to show young people what’s possible through hard work, passion, and purpose.
