This week, October 12–16, 2026, the Governor Morehead School for the Blind Food Service Department is rolling out the red carpet for National School Lunch Week!
This year's celebration is all about “Where Nutrition Takes Center Stage!” and “The Show Starts at Lunch!”
We've planned a week filled with delicious meals, exciting treats, special guests, festive surprises, and plenty of circus fun! Our Food Service Team is ready to put on a show, and we want YOU to be part of the excitement!
🌞 BREAKFAST — START YOUR DAY UNDER THE BIG TOP!
Before the main attraction begins, join us for some of our breakfast favorites throughout the week:
• Cinnamon Toast Breakfast Pastry
• Sausage Biscuit
• Breakfast Pizza
• Our Famous Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
• Our Big Breakfast featuring creamy grits, scrambled eggs, savory sausage, and a warm biscuit!

Monday, October 12 — Welcome to the Big Top! 🍕
We're kicking off National School Lunch Week with our Circus Pizza Supreme! Enjoy delicious pizza topped with vegetables, pepperoni, and ham bits. A non-pork option will also be available for students who do not eat pork.
Featuring:
• Circus Roasted Medley of Squash and Zucchini
• Crinkle-Cut Fries
• Build-Your-Own Circus Popcorn Bag! Every student enjoying lunch can create a special popcorn treat with fresh popcorn, Oreo cookie crumbles, caramel, and fudge!
Tuesday, October 13 — The Circus Fun Continues! 🌭
Step right up for our Circus Corn Dog!
Featuring:
• Curly Fries
• Tightrope Broccoli Tree Cups
• Circus Caramel Apple Bites
• SPECIAL FEATURE: Circus Lemonade Punch! Every student will have an opportunity to enjoy our refreshing circus lemonade during lunch!
🌟 SPECIAL ATTRACTION — OUR CIRCUS RINGMASTERS & CELEBRITY GUEST SERVERS! 🌟
On Tuesday, October 13, we're rolling out the red carpet as our Circus Ringmasters and Special Celebrity Guests step into the spotlight to help serve lunch to our amazing students!
Our special guests will join the Food Service Team behind the serving line, bringing smiles, laughter, excitement, and a little extra circus magic to lunchtime! We can't wait for our students to experience this special celebration as we remind everyone that “The Show Starts at Lunch!”
Wednesday, October 14 — The Greatest Nacho Show! 🧀
Our Circus Nacho Bar takes center stage!
Build your perfect plate with our delicious nacho toppings, including our special queso cheese!

• Black Beans
• Sweet Circus Corn
• Circus Ice Italian Icies in a variety of refreshing flavors!
Thursday, October 15 — Walking the High Wire! 🍔
Get ready for our Circus High Wire Cheeseburgers!
Juicy cheeseburgers served on pretzel buns, topped with pepper jack cheese, barbecue sauce, and crispy fried onions!

• Steak Fries
• A delicious Funnel Cake for dessert!
Friday, October 16 — The Grand Finale! 🍗
We're closing out our celebration with our crowd-pleasing Circus Wing Bar!
Featuring:
• Delicious Wings with a Roll
• Sweet Potato Fries
• Fresh Celery and Carrot Sticks with Ranch Dressing
• Soft Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel Bites!
