We are on track to begin construction of the Chiquiguital Water System in February! So far we've raised $64,000 from corporate and individual donors along with contributions from the community and local government. We're still hoping to raise about $7,000 more to finish phase 1 of our project which will supply clean water to several distribution points throughout the community. Please consider contributing and reading more about our project on our website: ewb-rtp.org!

Power Through Partnership! The motto of EWB's conference was highlighted during our assessment trip to Chiquiguital last week. Our team had an incredible time working with the community of Chiquiguital, leaders of the municipality of Santa Cruz, CeCEP, and Chiquiguital's COCODE to gather data for a new community water system. We are looking forward to strengthening these relationships throughout the project and beyond.

We love our local partners. Especially Charlotte Wildlife Stewards and Charlotte-Mecklenburg County Stormwater Services who helped us plan a volunteer day last weekend. CMCSS is remediating a plot of land to help manage floods by planting trees, shrubs, and wildflowers. CWS helped us get in touch and plan a volunteer day for 30 volunteers during the EWB National Conference. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our community!

The 2025 EWB National Conference came to Charlotte! We had a great time meeting with and learning from our EWB friends from across the country here in our backyard. The RTP Professional Chapter met with the NCSU student chapter, representatives from CeCEP, and many others. We also had the opportunity to host a volunteer event with Charlotte Wildlife Stewards and Charlotte-Mecklenburg County Stormwater Services.

We are thrilled to announce the successful delivery of clean drinking water to ten tap-stands across the village of Chipozo in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. This project was conceived by the residents of Chipozo, and has been enabled by their hard work and remarkable ingenuity. Special thanks to our invaluable partners, the Guatemalan-based NGO CeCEP, and our local Rotary Clubs. Explore the impact of this project and get involved in our upcoming initiatives by clicking the link in our bio. 💙🌍
