This moment has been YEARS in the making. Really and truly, the example or what our work is - partnering with grassroots leaders, listening to what they need and coming alongside for the work. We are excited to announce that the OFRANEH Resolution will be reintroduced in the House of Representatives during the first week of June! As part of the re-introduction, a delegation from OFRANEH and staff from the Witness for Peace Solidarity Collective will be traveling to Washington DC and New York City to meet with Congressional Representatives and other institutional and civil society actors to discuss the systematic violence and other challenges facing the Garífuna people in Honduras. This is the culmination of months and years of close planning and collaboration with OFRANEH and several allied organizations.
