He received his education from the North Carolina Public Schools System and is a 1978 graduate of Jones Senior High School. ber of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated for 41 years. He was initiated spring of 1980 through the Mu Epsilon Chapter located at Winston-Salem State University (WSSU). As an undergraduate, he was very active on both the chapter and district levels. He held several leadership positons to include Chapter Basileus, Vice Basileus and Dean of Pledgees. He also held campus leadership positions in Student Government and other campus organizations. Brother Bruinton stayed focused on academics and scholarship, graduating in four years with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration/Accounting, May 1982. As a Life Member, Brother Bruinton has remained active and financial, working tirelessly for Omega. He is currently a member of the Iota Iota Chapter, Raleigh, NC. He has served on many committees, on the chapter, district and international levels. He has held many offices including chapter Basileus, Vice Basileus, Keeper of Records and Seal, and Keeper of Finance. Victor has also served as the 6th District Keeper of Finance, 6th District 1st Vice District Representative and the 37th District Representative. Professionally, he is the President/CEO of Bestway Express, Inc. He has been in the transportation/logistics and food industries for over 30+ years. Brother Bruinton is known as a Community Champion. He is the Immediate Past National President of the Winston-Salem State University National Alumni Association, Chairman of the Board of the Omegas of Raleigh, LLC, Vice Chairman of the Triangle Uplift Foundation, Member Board of Directors for the Omega C.H.A.M.P.S. Mentoring Program, Member of the100 Black Men of America - Triangle East Chapter, Master Mason Prince Hall Affiliate - Standard Lodge # 134, NAACP and Life Member of the WSSU National Alumni Association. There have been many awards presented to Brother Bruinton, just to name a few: two-time Omega Man of the Year (local/district levels), Omega Founders Award (local/district and international levels), Omega Superior Service Award (local/district), Omega Citizen of the Year Award (local/district levels), Omega Mentor Award and WSSU National Alumni Hall of Distinction Inductee. Brother Bruinton knows where his blessings come from and loves the Lord. He is a member of Haughton Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Trenton, NC and a visiting member of Grace AME Zion Church, Raleigh, NC.
