Southeast Raleigh - The Next Generation is an equal opportunity community organization. Our primary tenet is to create a platform for future leaders in Southeast Raleigh. We accomplish this by looking for ways to give every member in the community, who wishes to do so, an opportunity to serve in a leadership position. Supporting elections for community groups and mentoring relationships are a few
examples of ways in which we pursue this goal. Community service through volunteering is the beginning of this journey. Southeast Raleigh celebrates a diversity of cultures, races, ethnic groups, religions and life experiences. We seek to partner with existing leaders to provide insight on how they can be more inclusive in their membership and create a welcoming environment for new ideas and creativity. We support the increasing use of technology amongst Southeast Raleigh residents and welcome opportunities to further this growth. This is one of the ways we intend to engage the participation of inactive community members as well as through DIY, Micro and Family Volunteering. These principles rest on a solid foundation of individual empowerment which contributes to the strength of organized community groups such as Citizens Advisory Councils (CACs), Community Watch groups, and Neighborhood Associations. We recognize, with appreciation, the decades of service contributions rendered by many of our current and past leaders and look forward to working together to equip Southeast Raleigh - The Next Generation.
