Over the last few weeks, since launching City Movement Church just over a month ago, my heart has been freshly stirred as Iā€™ve watched this generationā€™s love and pursuit of Jesus. šŸ”„

I shared this past Sunday about a season when a wave of deconstruction moved through many in my generation. I remember the confusion, the hard conversations, and watching the faith of friends I loved begin to unravel.

At the same time, something else was happeningā€¦spiritual openness and curiosity were rising among Gen Z, in a moment when the narrative around this generation seemed hopeless.

Amid anxiety, depression, loneliness, and cultural confusion, you ran toward faith and toward Jesus.

Your faith, passion, and zeal for Christ have reignited a fresh hope in the Church (and in my own heart).

You are a generation marked by hunger.
Marked by honesty and confession.
Marked by pursuit of Jesus.

Youā€™re helping lead the Church into awakening.

We are proud of you.

Keep gazing and keep running. šŸ”„

Eleven years ago, God asked me to call Raleigh home. At the time, I couldnā€™t have imagined that this call would one day lead to planting a church here. Carole Ann and I are humbled by this invitation and filled with anticipation and awe for the ways God is movingā€”and the work He is yet to doā€”in the RDU.

We know there are many ministries to support this Giving Tuesday and throughout the end-of-year season. We simply ask that you pray with us, and, if you feel led, consider partnering financially in this new season of what God is building through City Movement Church and our work with college students and young adults through Ignite Movement.

Your support helps strengthen our family to continue on in planting a vibrant church community in this region, while continuing to reach college and young adults through our campus ministryā€”Ignite Movement. We canā€™t out give God, and we are trusting Him for every step ahead. Every gift, no matter the size, is a seed for what God is doing in this city and beyond!
