Members of the Democratic Women’s Caucus came together for a powerful panel discussion highlighting how reductions in cancer research funding impact patients, families, researchers, and health care providers.

As we recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this event shed light on the urgent need to protect and expand funding for lifesaving research and equitable care for all women.

Thank you to the survivors, advocates, and health champions who shared their stories and insights, reminding us that the fight for women’s health and breast cancer research continues.

On October 17, eligible women can receive a free 3D screening mammogram at Wake Radiology UNC Health Rex.

To qualify, participants must be age 40 and over, have no current symptoms, and be uninsured.

Space is limited. Call 919-854-2178 to schedule.

Last week at this time we were preparing for Bosom Buddies Foundation Charity Gala.

What an amazing evening we had. 💖 We came together to honor the memory of my mom, support a meaningful cause, and celebrate the power of community.

A special thank you to our Mistress of Ceremonies, Bianca Holman, WTVD-ABC11 Reporter/Anchor, for leading the evening with grace and charm.

We were honored to present a $2,500 check to Pretty Essentials Women's Boutique to further our mission of serving women and helping to afford medical out of pocket expenses. Your generosity and support made this possible!

The night was filled with laughter, love, and purpose, reminding us all why we do this work.
