🎉Great training for the North Carolina Homeless Education Program's New Homeless Liaison Training organized by Public Schools. NCHEP ensures that all children experiencing homelessness have access to the public education they are entitled to under the Federal McKinney-Vento Act.

The training is a chance for liaisons to expand their knowledge on how to help children and their families in their academic success. Today, our Project CATCH manager Sharmaine Joyner presented. CATCH is a program that connects children experiencing homelessness with resources and services to address their physical, cognitive, and social/emotional development. Angel Tree Time 🎄

Our Angel Tree Warehouse is buzzing with "elves!" We are so thankful for our volunteers who are hard at work fulfilling the Christmas wishes of more than 7,000 children in Wake County. We still have more angels that need adopting. Visit Crabtree Valley Mall and pick up a tag at our Angel Tree or visit us online for more details on how to help.

TOMORROW ‼️ 📚✏️✂️📓

TOMMORROW is the day! We want to see you at our Application and Resource Fair tomorrow, Sat., July 15th from 10am –2pm. Apply in-person for FREE Pre-K eligible families. There will also be free backpacks for preschool aged children (ages 3- 4).

This event would not be possible without our wonderful supporters! Project CATCH team was able to attend the PBS Impact Early Childhood Education Summit and present on supporting literacy in families experiencing homelessness.

We were so grateful for the opportunity to learn more how to best support children in our community.
