Sorry. I didn't mean to let you all down. I haven't been posting for quite some time as I have been dealing with the hospitalization of my wife last year with severe pancreatitis (she on the mend but is now a type 2 diabetic and insulin-dependent). So; as of 6 months ago I've been in and out of the doctors and hospital myself with testing continuing through September. Outward symptoms look like Parkinson's Disease. I do not normally ask for help, yet I've known most of you for a really long time. Please take a look at this and share. We appreciate it and Thank you.

The Gulf of Mexico region serves as a major source of domestic seafood landings in the U.S. The total volume of all seafood landings in the Gulf comprises nearly 20% of the volume of seafood landings in the contiguous United States. Roughly a third of the nation’s domestic blue crab and two thirds of the nation’s domestic shrimp and oysters are routinely supplied by the Gulf region. (2014) Sponsored by Clean Gulf Associates. It's that time of year again when some areas of our beaches are experiencing "June Grass". Though not grass at all, actually floating marine algae from the genus Cladophora that migrates from the center of the Gulf of Mexico and works its way inland when water temperatures rise. June Grass is not harmful to humans and not related to Blue-Green or Red Tide algae that you may have seen on TV. While it might not be the most appealing, June Grass helps re-nourish our beaches and is an essential food source for birds, crabs, dune mice and more.

The federal Marine Mammal Protection Act protects all marine mammals, including the lovable bottlenose dolphin. These animals are easy to view in the wild, but this also puts them at increased risk of human-related injuries and death. Feeding dolphins is harmful and illegal. It changes their natural behaviors and reduces their wariness of people and vessels. Sponsored by Clean Gulf Associates.
