Layers of Dignity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides tote bags filled with new clothing, toiletries, resource information, and handwritten support letters to survivors of sexual assault being seen in emergency rooms and advocacy centers across central North Carolina.

We can’t stop thinking about Saturday night🤍

Our second annual Dignity Dinner was such a meaningful evening, full of connection, generosity, and people who truly care about this work. Seeing so many of you show up, take part in the silent auction, and support survivors in such a tangible way meant more than we can fully put into words.

Because of you, we raised $10,481 to continue showing up for survivors when they need it most.

We’re so grateful for this community, for our sponsors, board members, and every single person who made the night what it was.

The Dignity Dinner is only four days away and we’re getting so excited! Join us this Saturday for dinner, a silent auction, and a chance to support survivors in a really tangible way. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

At Layers of Dignity, we stand with survivors to honor their strength, their stories, and their right to heal on their own terms.

Sexual violence affects millions, yet it is often met with silence, stigma, and misunderstanding.

This month, we’re committed to raising awareness, amplifying survivor voices, and advocating for a world where dignity, safety, and respect are non-negotiable.

Healing looks different for everyone. Whether it’s through community, creativity, or quiet moments of self-care, every step forward matters.

We invite you to: • Listen without judgment • Become a monthly donor • Educate yourself and others • Speak up against harmful narratives

Together, we can create spaces where survivors feel seen, heard, and supported; not just in April, but every day.

Back at it with .ncsu💛

They came to our office today and packed 300 toiletry bags for survivors across North Carolina. Watching these bins fill up never gets old.

So grateful for volunteers who are willing to spend their weekends with us!

We’re excited to announce that tickets are now available for our Second Annual Dignity Dinner.

Join us on Saturday, April 25th at 6:00pm at Neuse River Brewing in Raleigh for an evening of dinner, drinks, and a silent auction benefiting Layers of Dignity.

Held during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, this event helps fund the purchase and distribution of survivor tote bags across North Carolina.

This is what community looks like.

We gathered, we painted, we sipped wine, and we got a little messy in the best way. Thank you to everyone who came out last week for our Paint it Forward event and spent your evening supporting survivors alongside us.

We’re hosting a Paint it Forward Wine & Design night on Thursday, February 12th at 6 PM in Raleigh. Come paint, enjoy wine and snacks, and support the work of Layers of Dignity!

We spent some time at the office opening packages and restocking comfort items like sweatshirts and socks. These will soon be part of totes going out to survivors across North Carolina, especially important during colder days.

Small, practical items can make a real difference in helping someone feel cared for and supported. Thank you to everyone who continues to show up for this work.
