NCWAY is building K8 Boys and Girls National Teams for the Deep South Summer Nationals held in Birmingham, Alabama (31 July-2 August). This is one of the biggest summer dual events. Boys will wrestle in folkstyle. Girls will do one day of Freestyle Duals and one day of Folkstyle Duals. Rising 9th Graders are eligible to wrestle at this event. Open weigh classes are below:

What a weekend at the 2026 North Carolina Youth State Wrestling Championships at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville!

From start to finish, these kids laid it all out on the mat. We saw hard work, heart, and some tough wrestling all day long. North Carolina youth wrestling is in good hands.

📣 NCWAY State Championship Update

Please read carefully 👇

🔹 Clear Bag Policy will be enforced.
Wrestlers are exempt from the clear bag policy.

🔹 Wrestlers May Bring:
• One bottle of water or one refillable thermos (water only)
• Healthy snacks
🚫 No fast food allowed inside the venue.

🔹 Friday Weigh-Ins (ONLY time for early credentials & tickets)
🕓 Friday | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Crown Coliseum

During weigh-ins 4-7pm at the Colosseum, you may:
• Pick up coaches floor passes
• Purchase spectator admission tickets
(Highly recommended to avoid long Saturday lines.)
• Spectator tickets and coaches floor passes will not be available at any after hours weigh in.

North Carolina Youth Wrestling State Championship – Presented by NCWAY

Only credentialed coaches will be allowed on the competition floor.

• Parents may NOT purchase floor passes.
• Coaches must show:
✔️ Valid coaching credential (physical card or digital on phone)
✔️ Photo ID
• No credential + ID = No floor access.

We will honor valid coaching credentials from other recognized wrestling organizations (AAU/USA/NCHSAA) if you do not have an NCWAY card.

Need an NCWAY Coaches Membership?

Visit ncway.com, and select memberships, select your club, and purchase the correct membership.
If your club is not listed, it has not registered for the 25–26 season.
Unaffiliated coaches may select the “Unaffiliated Membership” option.

NCWAY coaches must complete:
• Background Screening
• APS Training
• Concussion Training

⏳ Background checks take at least 48 hours. If you wait until the event weekend, you will be denied floor access.

All Belt Winners and Top 5 finishers must report to the awards station no later than 8:00 AM on Saturday morning for the presentation.
