NC State Graduate Student Association Founded October 6, 1958, the NC State Graduate Student Association represents and supports the graduate student body of NC State.

The North Carolina State University Graduate Student Association (GSA) was formed on October 6, 1958 in order to give graduate students a forum for discussion and action about those events in the college community which affect them. As the years have passed, the GSA has grown in size and stature, and is currentl

y considered by both administration and graduate students to be an integral part of the NCSU community. Approximately 70% of all graduate majors have an active GSA chapter, meaning that a representative from those majors regularly attends our meetings and participates in our committees. Our mission is to make the academic, professional, and social life of graduate students at NC State more rewarding and enjoyable, and we hope you will support us in our efforts to do so! In fall 2015, UGSA (UGSA) officially changed its name to Graduate Student Association (GSA).

“If serving is beneath you, leadership is beyond you”

GradPack, through your elected representatives, you gave us the mandate to serve you as leaders of the GSA. We have thought, planned and toiled to the best of our abilities.

Now, our watch is end, and as good watchmen, we must pass the torch gracefully. It’s been an absolute privilege to serve all graduate students, and we wish you all the best always.

The GSA is excited to announce Matthew Ayoola, representative from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering; and Caleb Marshall, from the Department of Poultry Science, co-chairs of the Judicial and Electoral Committee, as the Committee Chair of the Year for the 2025/26 session.
