🎉 BIG NEWS! 🎉 Transitions LifeCare - NC is honored to announce a generous $2.5 million gift from a family who wishes to remain anonymous. This heartfelt contribution, pledged over the next five years, comes from a family profoundly impacted by the care they received and is designated to support Transitions Kids—our program providing hospice and palliative care for children.

Last year alone, Transitions LifeCare provided $2.6 million in uncompensated care so that no family had to face a life-limiting illness alone or worry about the bill. This transformational donation helps us keep that promise and grow the program for years to come.

From the bottom of our hearts— thank you to this anonymous donor and to every supporter who believes in our mission. Together, we’re making moments matter. 💜

We’re excited to be approaching a decade of our pediatric program at Transitions LifeCare! For nearly ten years, we've provided compassionate support to children facing life-limiting conditions, made possible through generous philanthropic funding. We are truly grateful that our Transitions Kids program was featured in the article celebrating Transitions LifeCare - NC recognition as Raleigh's Best Hospice Gold Winner! This award reflects our commitment to making a difference in the lives of these children and their families.

Transitions Kids, part of Transitions LifeCare, has provided specialized care for children with life-threatening illnesses since 2015 and aims to expand services as it nears its tenth anniversary.

This September, we held Transitions Kids Camp BRIGHT, bringing together over 40 brave children to support one another on their grief journey after losing a parent or sibling. Camp BRIGHT—Being Real in Grief, Hope, and Transition—is a free, one-day camp for youth ages 5–12 who have experienced the death of a significant person. Grief techniques are creatively woven into each camp theme, fostering a safe, fun, and loving atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who made this important event possible. Together, we’re helping these young hearts heal. ❤️

* Allyson completed her BSW internship with Transitions Kids earlier this year and was on the team from January to May. Allyson is coming back to TK and will be with us until May of 2025 for her MSW internship.
* Fun Fact: Allyson loves to travel and has been to 8 European countries so far!

Meet The Team 👋🏼

My name is Taylor Davis and I am a Pediatric Palliative Care Specialist (Family Support) with a background in Social Work. I started with TK in June of 2024 and have loved working with the team and such amazing families. Outside of work you can find me curled up with a good book, spending time with my friends and family, plus my sweet rescue dog, Palmer, and driving down to the beach as often as I can. A fun fact about me is that I grew up playing golf competitively.
