The CARE Project The CARE Project provides emotional support for families with children who are deaf and hard of hearing through family retreats and support groups!

The CARE Project, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing hope to families who have children and/or adults with hearing challenges through counseling experiences aimed at the processing of the emotional stages of grief. CARE also is a tool for teaching professionals and pre-professionals about the importance of active listening with their clients/patients and validating their emotional s

tate. CARE is a multidimensional tool that addresses the grief associated with hearing loss for individuals, families, communities, professionals and pre-professionals. Growing Towards Acceptance
Undeniably, life’s journey is full of challenges. Arriving with those hurdles are different emotions, dependent upon circumstances. An individual facing the challenge of hearing loss needs to be able to rely on a strong support system within the family and community. The CARE Project has a number of components designed to bring families and professionals together for sharing and processing emotions, with the ultimate goal being acceptance and advocating for the best life possible.

UPDATE: We now have 200 people wanting to join us for the Carewinds Family Fun Day in August...and we have funding for 100 tickets.....you do the math!

Lara and I have decided to see if we can raise enough money to bring all 200 people that day!!!

SO, WE NEED FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND DONATIONS!
