Sixth Sun Community Food and Energy Empowerment www.sixthsun.co We fulfill our mission of community empowerment in a myriad of ways.

However, the most important asset available is the people who make up our community. Without your help we could not succeed. Through learning farms and online data sharing we will launch workshops that reconnect people to principles of ecology and self-reliance. These lessons can be utilized at any level from individual to community-wide. By developing outdoor classrooms and curricula at local sch

ools, K-12, we will extend the reach of our educational programs to children in the greater Raleigh area. In community gardens, we teach people to cultivate nutritious food for themselves, creating a systemic change in combating malnutrition and access issues in areas of low socioeconomic status. Our goal is to empower the community we are in to change their lives in a real and daily way.
