Caring Deeply Week is Biogen’s global volunteer week, bringing employees together around its commitment to strengthen communities and make a meaningful difference for the people they serve.

From September 21–25, Biogen volunteers supported Food Shuttle programs across Raleigh and Durham. Teams packed BackPack Buddy bags for students at our Child Food Hub, helped harvest, plant, w**d, and maintain community learning gardens, and spent a morning working together at the Food Shuttle Farm.

We’re grateful to Biogen and its employees for putting “Caring Deeply” into action and helping us continue our work to improve access to nutritious food throughout our community.

Today is the LAST day to help our students, and we need your help to fill the last 17,000 BackPacks!

When a child has food to count on, they have more than a full belly. They have the energy to learn, the focus to participate and the chance to simply be a kid. Your support can help make sure a student has food to count on all year long.

Help us fill the last 17,000 BackPacks with a gift to our $275,000 Back-to-School Campaign.

There’s still time to complete the Hunger Action Challenge! Complete any three challenges and receive a Food Shuttle swag bag. Pick yours up TODAY at 1001 Blair Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

For more than three decades, Temple Beth Or has supported our neighbors through its annual Yom Kippur Food Drive. This year, the congregation donated 4,715 pounds of food, 147 pounds more than last year, a 3.2% increase.

Thank you to everyone at Temple Beth Or, including our co-founder Maxine Solomon, for continuing to support this longstanding effort, helping provide nutritious food and tackle food insecurity.

Sometimes the best reminders of why this work matters come in handwritten notes.

Students at Oberlin Middle School recently sent us cards thanking the Food Shuttle for supporting families across our community. Their messages were simple: Helping neighbors put food on the table means families can eat with less worry.

Help us keep this work moving forward; we have 7 days until the end of our Back to School campaign. Give: https://foodshuttle.org/kindness/
