CASA CASA is a nonprofit affordable housing developer and compassionate property manager. Our goal for each tenant is that they never face homelessness again.

CASA develops and manages affordable rental housing, primarily for veterans and people living with disabilities. We are a hands-on property manager, committed to our tenants and their neighborhoods. Since 1992, we have seen what high-quality permanent supportive housing can do to bring brighter tomorrows to tenants and communities.

"We stood there for about six weeks," she says. "We were pretty blessed with a good caseworker. She's the one that got us here to CASA." ๐Ÿ
That was 2014. Twelve years later, Cristina is still here.

"Everything became stable. He got better. He's now working. Life at CASA normalized."
Her daughter? "She's blossomed."
This is what happens when stability is possible.
This is what your support makes happen.

Did you know? 80% of CASA NC residents report an improvement in their quality of life after moving in! ๐Ÿ“Š
We survey our residents every year. Nine out of ten tell us the same thing:
A safe, stable home changes everything.

Better health. Less stress. More focus. Better futures for their children.

A shelter temporarily changes some things. A home changes everything.

$35,000.
That's what homelessness costs โ€” per person โ€” every year in Wake County.
Wake County alone spends over $44 million annually working to house our neighbors.
A $35/month gift to CASA NC? Helps us provide the permanent housing that breaks that cycle โ€” for good.
We're not asking you to solve the whole problem. Just to help one neighbor at a time.

Meet Barry. Before CASA, Barry made what he calls "bad choices" โ€” choices that led to incarceration, instability, and years of hard living on the street.
Today, Barry has a home. He goes to church. He saves money. He walks the breezeway for exercise โ€” and yes, he watches Western movies from his recliner.
"People don't believe this, but take it from me โ€” that sidewalk will be there when you dead and gone. When you get to a designated place like here... I love it. I'm safe."
He will also tell you: "Life starts and stops with you. Bad choices, bad things happen. Good choices, good things happen."
Barry made a good choice. And CASA was there when he did.
Thank you for sharing your story, Barry.
