Samuel Johnston Chapter, NSDAR This is the official page of the Samuel Johnston Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Come be a part of something special!

Welcome to the Samuel Johnston Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution! If you are seeking a DAR chapter near the capital of North Carolina, please contact us to learn more about our active and civic-minded organization. We meet as a chapter on the second Wednesday of the month, September through May. Our focus is to promote the DAR objectives of historic preservation,

education, and patriotism through many interesting chapter programs and activities. We honor our revolutionary ancestors, recognize outstanding citizens, and volunteer in the area. We enjoy our volunteer activities and are proud to make a difference in the lives of our community, state, and country. We look forward to our time with veterans at the Durham VA Medical Center, as well as participating in the annual DAR Day of Service. We honor members of the military at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Day Commemoration at Historic Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, North Carolina. We also enjoy social activities, such as book clubs, craft groups, and trips to many historical sites.
