Everyone must reach out to their legislative representatives! It is extremely important to reach out you are in the district of one of the key legislators listed later in the post . This is OUR LAST OPPORTUNITY to push for an increase in the short session! Everyone - PLEASE TAKE ACTION before Tuesday, May 7th when this bill is called to a vote.

From our lobbyist, Ashley Perkinson:
The 2024 Short Session is moving forward and it is important that your legislator hear from you about the critical need for Medicaid rate increases for speech-language pathologists in North Carolina. On May 2nd, House Bill 1010 Modernize Certain Medicaid Provider Rates was introduced. This bill would provide $75 million in additional state funding to increase Medicaid rates for specialty medical health care providers, including speech-language pathologists.

It is critical that you ALL contact your legislator to ask that they support the funding for Medicaid rate increases as provided in House Bill 1010 and that this funding be included in the state budget that will be voted on later this session.

You can find contact information for your State House and Senate members here. https://ncleg.gov/FindYourLegislators or you can use the link on the advocacy tab found on the NCSHLA website.
