Kesem is a diverse community led by passionate and empathetic college students working to ensure that children facing the challenges of a parent’s cancer are never alone. Kesem programs have a lasting impact on children by providing them a peer-support network that understands their unique needs, builds confidence and strengthens their communication skills. Our mission is to support children throu

gh and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community. Camp Kesem at North Carolina State University was founded in 2015 and supports children in the North Carolina community by providing a free week-long summer camp experience and year-round Through and Beyond support services. Camp Kesem at North Carolina State University is operated by 45+ student volunteers and serves 100+ campers ages 6-18 per year. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
