Wrenn House & Safe Place

Wrenn House & Safe Place Wrenn House is the only homeless, runaway, crisis intervention program and shelter for youth in the Triangle. We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Wrenn House is the only homeless, runaway and crisis intervention program and shelter for youth in the Triangle. Wrenn House provides a safe, legal, and responsible environment for youth who run away from home, who are homeless, or are otherwise in a crisis situation. Wrenn House is available to any youth age 10 – 17, with priority given to youth from Wake County and Raleigh. For 30 years, Wrenn H

ouse has served those experiencing crisis by providing a diverse range of services including: temporary shelter, counseling, case management, referrals, and a variety of life skills, all within a therapeutic and safe environment that promotes individuality and empowers youth and families. Our program provides a safe haven to youth where they can find the freedom to realize their full potential, which is often minimized when involved in systems over which they usually have no control. Wrenn House works closely with Safe Place to coordinate convenient and accessible locations in communities where young people in need can find immediate help. Young people come to Wrenn House voluntarily. The length of time varies from 1 day to 21 days. Young people staying at Wrenn House are expected to attend school. Transportation is provided to Wake County Schools. There is no cost for participants to receive services from Wrenn House. Safe Place provides access to immediate help and safety for all young people in crisis. A national network of thousands of businesses and other public locations across the country extend the doors of local youth serving agencies by displaying Safe Place’s recognizable yellow and black diamond-shaped logo. Safe Place offers help to ages up to 17 years old with no costs associated with their services.

We appreciate and love everyone with A Lotta Love! Truly great friends who treat our youth, and us, very well!

It’s been over 4 years since we started the big renovation project of the Wrenn House in Raleigh. . Thanks to a grant from The women’s giving network of Wake County. . It’s still such a beautiful, welcoming and safe place for children and young adults needing shelter. Every year we go in to refresh and restock so that it looks as good as it did back then. This time it was decor like pillows, sheets and lots of items for the kitchen. Thank you so much Carolina Hurricanes for your donation that made this possible and the special Anthony Hines for your help and work at the Wrenn House - We have so much love for you all! ❤️❤️Friends for life!

We'd like to say a special thank you today to the Kiwanis Club of Raleigh for their generous donation to Haven House Services. The club has been a great supporter of Haven House and we couldn't do what we do without groups like yours supporting us. The money that has been donated will be used for the purchase of new technology, including laptops and tablets, for youth and staff at our Wrenn House shelter for youth ages 10-17!

Holly Springs Fire Department's station-1 and station-2 are two of the newest Safe Place locations in Wake County. Any youth in crisis can walk into one of these stations and ask for help. They will be connected with counseling and the nearby youth shelter. Keep your eyes peeled for the signs to go up soon!

Let's welcome Teen DV Month with open arms during the month of February!

Teen DV Month (sometimes called TDVAM) is a national effort to raise awareness about abuse in teen and 20-something relationships and promote programs that prevent it. Dating violence is more common than many people think. One in three teens in the U.S. will experience physical, sexual or emotional abuse by someone they are in a relationship with before they become adults. And nearly half (43%) of dating college women report experiencing violent and abusive dating behaviors.
