NC-ASA Chapter Special Meeting β Student Poster Competition
Student Poster Competition: Royster and General Acoustics β Scholarship and Monetary Awards.
The Royster Award will provide an exciting opportunity for recognition, featuring a total prize of $5,000. This amount may be awarded to a single winner or divided between two recipients, depending on the judge's discretion. In addition, we are pleased to offer chapter award prizes totaling $2,500. 9:00 AM β Registration & Refreshments
9:30 AM β Greetings and Introduction, Background and History of NC Chapter & Dr. Larry Royster
10:00 AM β Poster Competition β Royster and General Acoustics (participants requested to remain near their posters so observers can ask questions).
12:30 PM β Box Lunch provided (Judges convene)
1:30 PM β Award Presentations
2:00 PM β Conclusion of Meeting
Demonstrations of acoustical tools and equipment such as the acoustic camera, SoundPlan (outdoor modeling), and EASE (indoor modeling) software will be available during the meeting and immediately following.
Registration can be made by emailing [email protected]. We plan to collect registration at the door and plan to have an electronic payment method available. The cost for registration will be $60 for nonstudents (covers food and the room) and $20 for students not participating in the competition (to cover lunch). Registration for students in the poster competition is free (includes lunch).
