With interest launch just around the corner, here’s what we did on the week of 10/4 to 10/10🗓️ :

Vehicle/Recovery 🚀🪂
- Performed a wet wind with the filament winder, and identified issues presented
- Held a workshop for parachute folding
- Repaired parachutes

Payload 🪨🛞
- Imported rack & pinion, motors and encoders into CAD
- Started work in comms plate and servos

Aerodynamics/Airbrakes 💨
- Finished up camera implementation into Airbrakes
- Continued development on Pi HAT v0.4

Wolfworks 🐺🔧
- Placed an order for hardware components
- Worked on CAD for a test stand
- Researched electronic systems

Before our upcoming launches, here’s what we did on the week of 9/27 to 10/3🗓️ :

Vehicle/Recovery 🚀🪂
- Worked on implementing Klipper into filament winder project
- Picked out parachutes with holes for repair

Payload 🪨🛞
- Successfully tested payload camera
- Worked on motor control

Aerodynamics/Airbrakes 💨
- Explored alternate nose cone shape
- Worked on CAD to implement a camera/transmitter to Airbrakes bay

Wolfworks 🐺🔧
- Heat tested epoxy and aluminum with B motors
- Made CAD for fullscale and subscale engine

FIRM 💡💻
- Worked on wiring GPS

Leading up to the harvest moon, here’s what we did on the week of 9/20 to 9/26🗓️ :

Vehicle/Recovery 🚀🪂
- Cut fin slots and motor tube
- Smoothed out tube seams with caulk
- Continued work on filament winder resin bath

Payload 🪨🛞
- Worked on retention mechanism for payload rover
- Continued coding for the launch relay board
- Continued work on PCB layout and reviewing designs

Aerodynamics/Airbrakes 💨
- Held a CFD workshop to compute flow dynamics

Wolfworks 🐺🔧
- Continued research and design for liquid rocket project
- Explored manufacturing hemispheres
- Started designing a sub-scale engine design for testing

FIRM 💡💻
- Researched ground stations for FIRM 2.0
- Validated GPS wiring with breakout board

Following a lot of material and project testing, here’s what we did on the week of 9/13 to 9/19🗓️ :

Vehicle/Recovery 🚀🪂
- Brainstormed ways to hold and tension center-pull tow for the filament winder project
- Designed a new resin bath for the filament winder project
- CAD’ed a divided subscale nose cone for payload retention
- Cut remaining test bulkheads
- Performed altimeter testing and inventory

Payload 🪨🛞
- Trimmed down CAD for the payload rover
- Worked on PCB layout
- Fleshed out deployment door system

Aerodynamics/Airbrakes 💨
- Finalized a fin design
- Successfully weight tested Airbrakes at 100 pounds

Wolfworks 🐺🔧
- Continued calculations for engine geometry
- Prepared the filament winder for another dry wind

Fresh out of Labor Day weekend, here’s what we did on the week of 9/6 to 9/12🗓️ :

Vehicle/Recovery 🚀🪂
- Remounted filament winder carriage with new wheels
- Cut tubing for subscale rocket

Payload 🪨🛞
- Performed more CAD work for payload rover
- Worked on KiCad layout for launch relay board
- Worked more on system architecture and started coding for launch relay board

Aerodynamics/Airbrakes 💨
- Finished Airbrakes weight testing structure
- Designed CAD for an added camera
- Worked on switching codebase from FIRM to IMU

Wolfworks 🐺🔧
- Decided on liquid rocket project name: Molotov 🔥
- Went over more CAD and CFD
- Assembled filament winder in preparation for another dry wind
