Meet the Walking Dead crew. 🧟

Enid, Judith, Grimes, and Daryl are four tiny chihuahua newborns, and they have a story.

Our transporter was driving the Georgia litter to the nursery when a call came in from Forsyth County, NC. Four newborns needed rescue. They grabbed them on the way to us. Pure fate.

Their foster mom reports they now weigh between 7.6 and 9.3 ounces. They’re eating well (8 - 10 ml per bottle). No zombies so far. Just four very small dogs with "big" appetites.

We’ll keep you posted on these four. 🐾💛

Living room on Tuesday. Puppy quarters by Wednesday. 🛋️➡️🐾

Watch Sahana turn her living room into a puppy suite for Ms. Odette, who’s staying with her for the week. Pens up, blankets down, everything within paw’s reach and nothing within chewing reach.

“With every pup we learn something new about the space and what to do with it.”

Ms. Odette settled right in. She’s all heart and wants nothing more than snuggles and kisses.

Everything puppy-related in this video came from BTBB. The couch rearranging is on you. We’re always looking for fosters, even temporary ones, who’ll share their home with a pup.

Turn the sound up. 🔊

Sylva, Kingston and Lenoir, in the new collars you sent, eating their puppy mush.

Formula is not just for newborns. We keep using it for weaning puppies, mixed with soaked food, until they’re fully on dry kibble around six weeks. That means every new puppy here needs it, and we’re down to our last two bags.

It’s Wishlist Wednesday, and formula is the whole list. Link in the comments. 💛

Wishlist Wednesday: We’re Down to Our Last Two Bags of Formula.

Last week, you sent nine packages - including the much-needed collars! It felt like Christmas morning at the nursery. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We genuinely can’t do this without you.

This week’s wishlist is one thing: formula.

30 new puppies have come in this month already, and we’re down to our last two bags of Esbilac.

If you can send some, it goes straight into a bottle (or a bowl). 🍼

Wishlist link in the comments. Thank you. 💛

(Enjoy some puppy photos from the week.)

Heartbeat "momma" and dumped babies

These babies were briefly in our care this past weekend after they were found dumped at the dump (pun intended).

They are now in the wonderful hands of Peak Lab Rescue. Look at this little one sucking on his heartbeat momma from Original Snuggle Puppy. ❤️

POV: Puppies and Tornado Warnings

We found ourselves, like most of Central NC, in a string of tornado warnings from the remnants of Hurricane Isaias. When we were all loading up for Puppy Yoga, the warnings came through. So what do you do? Grab your family, your pets and your puppies and take shelter. (And cancel yoga.)

While the storms crossed the county, our fosters and families across Wake County checked in with each other. Here's our video proof. We love our Blazin' Trails Bottle Babies community. And we are so thankful everyone is safe.

This is what 11 puppies in one night looks like.

Shana taking in the four newborns while Kevin gives the seven older puppies a bath. All are orphaned. All are rescues. This is what it takes.

If you can help us keep saying yes, donate and wishlist links are in the comments. 💛
