What do I think about IHOPKC and the Kansas City Prophets:
Many of you asked me what I think about what is going on with IHOPKC since I spent much of my time there. Also, I would like to talk about a rumor about me concerning the Kansas City Prophets.
-The rumor was that I was involved with the Kansas City Prophets. I love the Kansas City Prophets. Without them, most of us would not thrive in the prophetic. However, I am not a Kansas City Prophet. I was not born during the early 80s. However, I have met many of them, and many Prophets influenced me greatly. I know there were many mistakes and secret sins, but you also had hidden sins. Your gift comes from God, not your sin. I want to emphasize that your gifts come from a Holy God. Paul Cain, Bob Jones, and others made terrible mistakes, but the blood of Jesus cleanses all sin.
-As a church, we are terrible at dealing with sin. I prophesied in October that we would see the Lord reveal the grey and expose sin. The Church is acting wild now; some are losing faith in anointed ministries because of a man's fall. You have to separate the anointing from a man's sin. You have to remember that Jesus is who we put our hope in. Wolves have come and are howling; lies are mingling with truth. The Church is gasping for air from Satan's attacks. We should know what to do when sin is discovered. Instead, we thrive on rumors and create videos that do not have any information, grace, love, or kindness. Instead, its loud sounds of complaining and making fun, all in the name of "we want the truth." We need to do better.
-I love Mike Bickle and still believe he is an anointed man. I was shocked and hurt by what happened, but his sin did not shake me because I put my hope in Jesus. Justice is here, but the Lord used Mike Bickle to start a movement that forever changed my life. IHOPKC changed my life, and God's hand is STILL ON THAT MINISTRY. IHOPKC was a dream from God. God uses broken people to bring forth his dream. God used Mike Bickle to change the lives of so many people. God's power over Mike's life was just as real as the sins he committed. Do not link the presence and power of God to Mike's mistakes. While we do not minimize the injustice, we do not minimize the blood of Jesus. The Bible contains heroes who had deep sin, and God still used them.
The blood of Jesus is what I cling to. The blood of Jesus is what the heroes of my life depend on. I still honor Mike Bickle, Bob Jones, Paul Cain, and others. It's the blood of Jesus we put our hope in.
Listen up. This is very important. The exposure of sin is all God's plan to release his glory that does not have the print of man on it. However, broken people are still his choice to move through to do it. What we don't want as a body is to come to this place of perfection in our minds that is empowered by demonic criticism. Jesus is perfect.
May we run back to the Lord.
