Volunteer Spotlight:✨ St. John the Merciful Outreach Ministry
St. John has been involved with the Women's Center for over twenty years. For three years this specific group has been providing and serving a meal to our guests once a month! The members shared that as a part of their faith they feel the need to give back to those in need in their community.

Over the years they've worked with the center they've created many memories. One of the members shared one of her favorite: when one of our guests had told her that she had secured permanent housing. "She was so overjoyed she got an apartment...and she shared that joy with us!" Helping our guests towards the path to securing permanent housing is exactly the work we strive to do here at the Women's Center.

We are so grateful to the members of St. John the Merciful Outreach Ministry for the continued work they've done at the Women's Center. ♥️

✨️ Client Spotlight: Sherry ✨️
Sherry (name changed) came to the Women’s Center while struggling with sobriety. Sherry is now thirty days clean and has found a group of people who listen to her talk, even when she just needs to vent about life. She says, “Come to the Women's Center. Explain what's going on, but be honest about it. You know, they can't help you if you don't speak up!”
One of Sherry’s most treasured moments at the Women’s Center was when she became ill and the Women’s Center community rallied around her. Sherry recounted, “I got real sick one time. And you wouldn't believe how these ladies just catered to me. Got me all warmed up. Got me where I could lay down. What these ladies do is amazing.” Overall, Sherry describes her time at the Women’s Center as a blessing.
We are grateful to Sherry for sharing her story 💛
