Dear Friends and Supporters of Ukraine in the Carolinas,
On this Giving Tuesday, we want to reach out with a heartfelt thank you. Your friendship, generosity, and unwavering support mean more to us — and to the people of Ukraine — than we can fully express. Everything we have been able to accomplish over the past six months and over the past 11 years has been because you chose to stand with Ukraine, to care, and to act.
Because of you, life-saving help continues to reach those who need it most. Your donations supplied SAM tourniquets, READY HEAT blankets for frontline medics, and burn dressings, now on their way to Ukraine. With your help, we also supported the delivery of ground drones and evacuation vehicles that allow medics and volunteers to reach the wounded and bring food and vital supplies into dangerous areas. Just this week, our friends in the NOVA Battalion shared that one of these ground drones completed three missions and delivered 1,500 pounds of provisions to places impossible to reach due to constant russian drone attacks. And this winter, thanks to you, our trusted Ukrainian veteran partners will deliver Christmas gifts to children whose parents were killed or wounded in the war. These small touches of joy and remembrance are truly made possible by your kindness.
Here in North Carolina, your support has helped us continue building community, raising awareness, and preserving Ukrainian culture. Over the last six months, we celebrated together at two wonderful festivals in Raleigh and Wilmington, advocated for Ukraine in Washington DC, and kept Ukraine House Carolina and the Ukrainian Saturday School thriving. Your visits, letters, and calls to elected officials have helped keep Ukraine’s cause at the forefront here at home. Please continue lending your voices in support of Ukraine's victory — they matter!
We would also love to see you at two special events coming up on December 6:
• Ukrainian Kids Christmas Concert in Raleigh in the morning (flyer in the first comment)
• Televised Apex Christmas Parade, featuring our Ukrainian delegation, in the evening
Your presence brings encouragement and joy to our children, reminding them that their heritage is seen, supported, and cherished.
As winter approaches, we are preparing to help keep Ukrainians warm, as well as supply materials for wood-burning stoves for the front lines. Every contribution directly helps someone facing freezing temperatures in the harshest conditions. If you are able, we kindly invite you to support our humanitarian efforts at:

And as this Christmas season begins, we hold close a special reminder: the beloved American classic Carol of the Bells began its life as the Ukrainian traditional song Shchedryk. Each time you hear that familiar, uplifting melody, may it remind you of the unbreakable spirit and enduring hope of the Ukrainian people — their determination to be free, independent, and to prosper.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Ukraine, for supporting our volunteers, and for believing in freedom, dignity, and hope. Together, we continue to make a real difference — and we continue to pray for miracles.
With gratitude and Christmas hope,
Your Ukrainians in the Carolinas
We are grateful for every volunteer, every supporter, every dollar, every tourniquet, every gauze, every set of thermal wear, every water filter, every package of diapers, every bottle of formula, and every prayer you all have contributed towards Ukraine’s victory!
