Once a month, Sarah Poole, an orthotist from UNC, visits Hilltop Home to fit our children with orthotics and make adjustments when needed. We’re thankful for the specialized care she brings to Hilltop. It’s one more way our team works alongside dedicated professionals to support our children’s comfort, development, and quality of life!

Fall is taking shape at Hilltop Home! Over the past few weeks, our kids and staff have been busy painting leaves to help get our sensory room ready for the Fall Festival. Every leaf is a little different, and that’s what makes them so special. They were created by many different hands, with each person adding their own touch to our fall display!

Today, we welcomed Whitney Katzenberger from Tobii Dynavox to Hilltop Home to help us explore eye gaze devices and the possibilities they can offer our children. We’re grateful for opportunities to keep learning, exploring new technology, and finding the tools that help each child communicate in a way that works best for them!

We were so grateful to welcome a group of students and their parents from the Commission Leadership Academy to Hilltop Home today! They spent the afternoon adding color and creativity to our sidewalk, creating a brighter and more welcoming space for the children we serve.

Last week, our OT Natasha took some of our children on a nature walk, creating a wonderful opportunity to explore, connect, and enjoy the beauty right outside our doors. At Hilltop Home, we love finding meaningful ways to turn everyday moments into opportunities for discovery and joy!
