In Memory of Diane Scoggins
With heavy hearts, we remember and honor Diane Grant Scoggins , whose remarkable 44 years of dedication to the children of Hilltop Home left an enduring and deeply meaningful impact.
Diane was there from the very beginning—when Hilltop was just a small house filled with hope, love, and a commitment to serving children with special needs. For 44 years, she witnessed Hilltop grow and change, but her dedication to the children never wavered. She gave so much of herself through her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for those we serve.
One of the most beautiful parts of Diane’s legacy is that she was able to see a vision close to her heart come to life. The Sensory Room, created with the children’s needs and experiences in mind, became a reflection of Diane’s passion and dedication. Having the opportunity to see the room completed, enjoy it, and know that it would bring comfort, joy, and meaningful experiences to the children was a special gift—and now, it will forever carry her name.
From the small house where Hilltop began to the Hilltop Home we know today, Diane was an important part of our journey. Her 44 years of service helped shape not only Hilltop, but the lives of so many children, families, and coworkers.
Although we deeply mourn her passing, we are grateful that Diane had the opportunity to see and enjoy the legacy she helped create. Her name will continue to be spoken, her vision will continue to serve the children, and her memory will forever be a part of Hilltop Home.
Diane will be deeply missed, but her love, dedication, and 44-year legacy will live on in the hearts of all of us and in the children she cared for so deeply.
