Lightner Y Achievers Summit: Duke School of Medicine Career Exploration

We are excited to partner with Duke University School of Medicine, Pathways to Purpose, to provide our students with an engaging and inspiring experience in the field of health and medicine.

During this interactive Summit, Y-Achievers will:
Participate in hands-on demonstrations using real medical tools and techniques

Learn directly from physicians, professors, and medical professionals

Explore career paths in healthcare including patient care, research, surgery, public health, and medical innovation

Gain insight into education pathways, shadowing opportunities, and mentorship

Engage in meaningful conversations and ask questions about future careers

On April 1st, Alumnus Angel Mitchell-Morris gave a college tour to some of the Clarence E Lightner Y-Achievers Program participants.

Angel talked about her involvement on campus and how WSSU has given her the platform to do a lot on and off campus. She also answered general questions about her experience at the university.
