Church at Six Forks Youth Fellowship

Today was senior recognition Sunday at Church at Six Forks. We celebrated Matthew McGrew and his many accomplishments. He achieved Eagle Scout level, he was a member of the Science Olympiad Team and was a big part of the Marching Spartans. He was an important part of the youth group at the Church at Six Forks, especially on Mission Sundays. We wish Matthew well as he heads to UNC Charlotte in the fall to major in Engineering.

The youth had a great day yesterday doing DIY bird feeders and cat toys to bring some JOY to a fellow church member. Each month the youth have a mission focus. In October, we will be doing a clothes drive for Note in the Pocket.

Even in the midst of heat, summer, and a pandemic, we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ and to serve others. For this month’s mission project we wanted to focus on the elderly members of our church since they are some of the people most affected by this pandemic. Today we left a variety of items on the front porches of two such people. For Maudeileen we left homemade brownies, cards, and a plant. For Karen, groceries, cards, and a plant. God has called us to love one another. We hope these ladies felt that love today ❤️
