Hurricane Milton has explosively intensified into a Category 5 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 175 MPH. Milton strengthened from a tropical depression to a Category 5 hurricane in only 48 hours, one of the most extreme hurricane intensifications we've ever seen.

As a result of the inclement weather and local schools schedule for most GA counties, we will not serve children onsite Thursday and Friday for both Coffee and Colquitt counties i.e., Douglas and Norman Park centers.

Tattnall county school (Glennville) is closed today and Friday is pending. We will not serve children onsite in Glennville on Thursday and will wait to hear more about Friday’s local school schedule.

Helene becomes hurricane as Georgia prepares for storm’s impact.

The storm is expected to strengthen Wednesday and make landfall, potentially as a Category 3 hurricane, on Thursday.

We regret to inform you that our federal grant for the NFJP program has not been renewed. Consequently, we will be transferring our NFJP program in Georgia, North Carolina, and Alabama to the newly selected grantee, Alabama Non-Profit Housing Inc. We will be working closely with the new grantee to ensure a seamless transition of our customers and developing a detailed plan for transferring information and client data. Our goal is to ensure that there is minimal disruption to the services we provide to our clients.

Additionally, we are committed to supporting the transition of our employees and appreciate the dedication they have demonstrated to serving farmworkers. We are proud of the work that we have done to support this important community.
