🖤💛 HAPPY CHARTER DAY! 99 Years of Excellence. One Century in Sight. 💛🖤
Today, December 19, 2025, we proudly celebrate 99 years since Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. - Phi Lambda Chapter was chartered on December 19, 1926. For nearly a century, Phi Lambda has stood as a beacon of leadership, scholarship, and service—true to the aims of our beloved Fraternity.
As we march toward our 100th Anniversary, we are inviting 100 Chapters and/or 100 Brothers from chapters around the world to help us mark this historic milestone. 🎶🌍
HERE’S THE CALL:
From today through June 1, 2026, send us a video clip of your entire chapter or Brothers of your chapter singing any ONE of the three verses of the Alpha Hymn (in the original key). Together these voices will form a powerful global tribute to our shared legacy and brotherhood as part of our Centennial celebration. (We will dp our best to creatively incorporate all submissions we receive.)
And that’s not all…
We are thrilled to announce a special Centennial initiative led by Phi Lambda's own, Brother Dr. Korwind Z. Stokes.
Beginning in 2026, Brother Dr. Stokes will begin teaching and restoring the original four-part harmony of the Alpha Hymn at future chapter gatherings-- ensuring this sacred tradition is preserved, strengthened, and passed on to the next generation of Alphamen in excellence. We will share snippets of his teachings here in future months.
