Smith County 4-H invites youth ages 5–13 to join us for June Clover Crumb: 4-H Kitchen Science—a fun two-day adventure where we explore how everyday kitchen items can teach us about biology, physics, and chemistry!
From bubbling reactions to surprising discoveries, participants will see just how much science is happening right at home. 🔍✨

Best of luck to two of our Smith County 4-H Shooting Sports members as they represent Mississippi on the national stage! They leave this coming week to head to Nebraska with other Mississippi 4H Shooting Sports team members to compete on the national level in their respective disciplines.

Join us in cheering on Laken, who will compete in .22 Rifle, and Maelah, who will compete in Hunting at the National 4-H Shooting Sports Championships! 🏆

These young people have dedicated countless hours to practice, learning, and sharpening their skills, and we couldn't be more proud of all they have accomplished. Their hard work, determination, and sportsmanship have earned them the opportunity to compete alongside some of the best 4-H shooters in the country.

Good luck, Laken and Maelah! We are rooting for you and know you will represent Smith County, Mississippi 4-H, and our state with excellence. Each of you have already made us so proud! 💚🍀

‼️🎯 Attention Shooting Sports Families! 🎯‼️
TODAY is the deadline!

The 2026 Mississippi 4-H Shooting Sports State Contest is just around the corner! State competition will be held July 17–18, and there are several important deadlines and requirements that must be completed for participants to compete.

Parents of qualifying youth should have received an email from Smith County Extension. The email was sent to the address provided on your child's original registration form and includes the required Registration and Health Forms, along with the contest agenda. If you have not received this email, please contact the Extension Office as soon as possible.

✅ Registration Form & Health Form Due: June 12
✅ State Contest Fee ($75) Due: June 12
✅ Additional 2 Hours of Practice Required
✅ Youth who qualified in two disciplines must select ONE discipline for state competition

⚠️ No registrations or paperwork will be accepted after the June 12 deadline.

We are incredibly proud of our Shooting Sports team members for a successful season. We look forward to seeing those who advance compete in July!

Shirts are $15 for Youth Small through Adult XL. Sizes 2XL and 3XL are available for $17.

If you'd like to purchase a shirt, please contact the Smith County Extension Office by this Friday❗️, June 12, 2026, to place your order. Shirts will be available for pickup at the Smith County Extension Office.
